My Grandpa Englund was a fun guy, but reserved and not very touchy feely. He was sitting in his chair with a group of people and Kimberly was standing behind him. She started telling a story, getting real into it, and somehow ended up with her hands on Grandpa’s head. Then she started playing with his hair! Why!? It was sticking straight up and all over the place. She rubbed his head and moved the hair all around, and when her story was done she stopped and realized what she’d been doing. Luckily grandpa always carried a comb with him to keep it slicked back and tidy, and he combed it back down. Mom apologized and walked out of the room embarrassed wondering what the heck was she thinking.
OH KIMBERLY!In her 50 wise years she has had too many embarrassing, weird things happen to her and it wouldn’t be fair to keep them in the family. She is special, she is funny. She’s got 8 kids, and as she says “each one took a part of her brain with them at birth”. So what if her house is a mess? So what if she drives like a crazy at night? So what if she talks herself into weird situations she can’t get out of? She’s my mom and I love her.
